County of Santa Barbara Animal Services
Their mission is to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of the animals and people they serve through proactive intervention, effective enforcement, collaboration, education, and the compassionate care and rehoming of sheltered animals. Volunteers are a crucial part of Santa Barbara County Animal Services. There are many ways to contribute to their life-saving work and be involved. Roles include the daily care and feeding of their shelter animals, as well as everything from being a driver on their transport team to assisting in the veterinary clinic, playing and cuddling with the adoptable animals, or assisting with behind-the-scenes admin work. Find a role that's as rewarding for you as it is immensely helpful for the animals. (Location Lompoc and Santa Maria – RSVP)
